Macaronesia is a modern name to designate the several groups of islands in the North Atlanticnear Europe and Africa, and a extensive area of the coast of Northwest Africa, bordered to these groups of islands, that goes from Morocco to Senegal.
Macaronesia consists of four islands:
- Azores
- Madeira, including the Ilhas Selvagens
- Canarias
- Cape Verde
